Course Outcomes

Once you have completed the HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy), you will be ready and qualified to support a physiotherapist as an assistant. You will have the knowledge and skills to help deliver and monitor client-specific physiotherapy programs to help people prevent injuries, work through rehabilitation, and make the most of their physical fitness. You will also have general skills that can be applied to other allied health settings.

Allied Health Assistant

Working directly with allied health professionals, you will help develop programs and conduct therapeutic activities to identify, treat, and prevent various conditions and illnesses in patients. 


Physiotherapy Assistant

A Physiotherapy Assistant is a hands-on and highly patient-based role. Your responsibilities will include providing patient care and supporting patients to complete their treatment plans related to their injury, illness, or disability.

Please note: this course is currently in a transition period (superseded due to Government-mandated updates), with our updated course due for release in the next few months. Rest assured, completion of this course version with us before 30 October 2024 will still provide you with a valid and quality outcome. Software: Flash, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word (or Open Office which is free to download).

Office Equipment:  Printer and scanner to print and upload some of your assessments.

Mobile Phone with Video Capability or Video Camera: Some assessments in your course may require you to take and submit videos of you undertaking tasks for assessment.
