Manage store presentation and pricing
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply knowledge of store merchandising to plan and manage store promotions, and manage store pricing policies and housekeeping. It includes interpreting and complying with store layout and visual merchandising policies, developing and implementing procedures to manage merchandise pricing, and managing all aspects of store housekeeping, including contingency procedures.

To undertake this qualification, individuals will have previous retail supervisory experience in roles such as:

• customer service

• supervising work teams and employee relations

• sales performance

• store safety and security

Given that some students may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment process may be available to students to recognise skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
