Marketing Manager

Manage a company’s daily marketing activities through the development and implementation of your targeted marketing strategy.

Product Manager

Develops products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, and developing marketing strategies.

Marketing Team Leader

Thriving in both small teams and larger teams, people in this role are natural leaders and guide staff to achieve set targets. 

Public Relations Manager

Create and maintain a favorable public image for your employer or client by communicating programs, and accomplishments, general responsibilities include fielding media questions and pitching stories to the media, preparing media kits and organising press conferences.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to plan market research by identifying market research needs, defining market research objectives, identifying data gathering approaches and developing a market research plan. It applies to individuals in a non-market research organisation who conduct market research planning at a managerial level.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify, evaluate and take advantage of marketing opportunities by analysing market data, distinguishing characteristics of possible markets and assessing viability of changes to operations. This unit applies to marketing professionals who use statistical techniques to analyse organisational and competitor marketing performance and to interpret new and emerging trends when forecasting future business needs.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to plan and implement business-to-business (B2B) marketing. It applies to individuals who work in a supervisory capacity in a team environment, who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure business activities are conducted effectively. In this role, individuals may work in small, medium or large enterprises across a variety of industries.

There are no formal entry requirements to undertake this course; however, it is recommended that students have solid industry knowledge, experience and/or a Certificate IV in Marketing BSB41315.

Given that some students may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, a recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment process may be available to students to recognise skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
