We are two days into 2019 and there is an air of optimism that comes with a fresh start.
What do you want to take with you into the New Year and what do you want to leave behind? What attitudes, talents, strengths, and opportunities do you want to focus on to make 2019 a momentous year? Here are some tips to take you to the top.
Focus on the positives
At the beginning of 2018, you probably said what we all say: “I hope this year’s better than last year.” And chances are you’ll be saying it again at the beginning of 2019.
But this year, do something different: don’t analyse all the things that went wrong in 2018, focus solely on what went right. More to the point; focus on why it went right. Even if it was the briefest flirt with success, happiness or belief, what was it and what made it so good?
SWOT analysis is about as old-school business as telegrams, but, unlike telegrams, this self- analysis tool has stood the test of time. So yes, work out your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat based on what you know of the past and future.
Go for goals
You might have set goals for 2018 and missed them by a mile. Who cares? If the same goals are still relevant, reset your sights and go for them again.
